Recognising that people perform best when they are able to ‘be themselves’, DoLS aims to create a working environment that is inclusive. All members of the department share the responsibility for achieving that.

The department’s Equality Diversity and Inclusion Committee, chaired by Professor Pietro Spanu is a forum where issues of equality, diversity and inclusion can be discussed and addressed. It inputs into the whole range of departmental activities to help instil a genuinely supportive culture.
