Dr Steve Connolly

Steve ConnollyUG liaison officer

Hi, please call me Steve. In addition to acting as the careers advisor for the department and co-ordinating its outreach activities, I contribute to the undergraduate study experience in general and, specifically, by co-ordinating activities like student-to-student (termed Peer Assisted) learning for the first year Biology and Biochemistry/Biotechnology students facilitated by their more experienced peers. My background as a former senior lecturer in organic/medicinal chemistry allows me to deliver teaching to the first year Biology undergraduates in related topics as well as providing advice to students as an academic Personal Tutor. I also contribute to the operational aspects of the degree programmes run by the department and participate in Open Day events by meeting prospective students and their families, besides presenting details of the in-house pastoral support offered on these occasions. The door to my office is very much open.
