The modules of this programme are available as short courses. This opens up opportunities for further training to healthcare professionals who do not have the resources to undertake a full MSc, PG Diploma or PG Certificate in Genomic Medicine, but can still benefit from gaining additional expertise in areas of genomic medicine that are of particular relevance to their practice. In addition, these modules will be attractive to scientists who want to find out more about the opportunities offered by Genomic Medicine but may not yet be ready to commit to a full Master’s programme.

Delegates who wish to attend the courses for credit should allow for approximately 190 hours of total study time for each module, including full-time tuition, e-learning and independent study, in order to undertake the assessments.

Health Education England has pledged to fund short course places for NHS healthcare professionals, in addition to the fully funded places they are supporting on the full MSc in Genomic Medicine. To apply for HEE funding, please see the Genomics Education Programme funding application.
