Our main project call for 2019-20 CDT studentship projects is now closed

Our annual call encourages CDT project proposals from multidisciplinary supervisory teams for 4-year (MRes+PhD) studentships at the interface of neuroscience and engineering.  CDT students  study in a structured “1+3” training programme, with the first year as the MRes in NeurotechnologyTo be considered, proposals must fulfil the CDT Neurotechnology criteria of being multidisciplinary, in terms of the project, training, and supervisory team.  Studentships provide full tuition fees and funding for 4 years, plus an annual consumables allowance. The deadline for submitting proposals normally end of September for the following year start.  Proposals are typically reviewed by the CDT Research Board in Oct/Nov, with the intention that awarded projects will be opened for recruitment in Nov/Dec.

We also welcome applications from teams who can secure at least 50% funding from a partner organisation.  Eligible partner organisations must be external to Imperial College and may include industry, charity or, exceptionally, government sources. Joint proposals may be submitted on a rolling basis up to a final deadline of Friday 31st May 2019.  However, early applications are encouraged, as funding for joint projects is limited. Submissions will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the CDT Research Board.  Successful proposals will be opened for recruitment as soon as possible.
