Imperial Business School

The Business School has risen up the latest Financial Times rankings to become the best business school in the UK for its MSc Finance programme.

The 2015 Financial Times Master in Finance rankings, published today, place Imperial College Business School at 11th place in the world, climbing five places from its previous 16th position in 2014. The Business School was also ranked 10th place overall in the European rankings.

Imperial featured among 50 business schools worldwide in this year’s rankings. Each year the FT Master in Finance rankings assess finance programmes on a number of criteria including value for money, expected salary and salary increase, and the number of graduates who found employment after three months of completing their studies. The rankings also take into account career progression of alumni up to three years after graduation and the extent to which alumni fulfilled their objectives in studying for an MSc in Finance. Other factors include alumni assessment of their business school’s career service in helping them find employment and the number of international students participating in the programme.

Professor G. 'Anand' Anandalingam, the Dean of Imperial College Business School, said: “We are delighted to become the top ranked Business School in the UK and the 11th in the world for our MSc Finance programme. This incredible achievement reflects the innovative nature of our programmes, high quality teaching and a dedicated careers service that works hard to ensure the majority of our students achieve employment within three months of graduation.

Over the past 15 years, our MSc Finance has built a reputation as the most intellectually rigorous finance programme in Europe, opening doors to a wide range of careers within financial services from asset management to investment banking. The programme encourages an entrepreneurial mindset and equips students with the skills to meet the challenges of today’s financial world.”
