Key stakeholders from Brazil visit Institute of Global Health Innovation to see the best of British expertise in health.

Last week, a delegation of key decision-makers and stakeholders from Brazil, including renowned oncologist Dr Drauzio Varella, visited the Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI) to gain insight on the latest developments in healthcare in the UK. The delegation was made up of State Secretaries of Health from nearly a dozen States in Brazil.

Dr Matthew Harris, Senior Policy Fellow in Public Health from IGHI’s Centre for Health Policy, who previously worked as a Primary Care physician in Brazil, introduced the delegation to the research carried out by the Centre for Health Policy, including patient safety, the use of big data in health research, and how best practises in the NHS can be replicated in Brazil.
