On the 25-28 February, Olivia Chant-Tuft, a postgraduate MSc Metals & Energy Finance student, attended the Bank of Montreal Conference.

The Bank of Montreal Capital Markets 27th Annual Metals and Mining Conference in Florida was attended by over 1500 people. The conference is recognised as the largest of its kind attracting the most innovative companies and investors. Highlights of the conference included discussions on the battery revolution and interesting debates on precious and industrial metals outlook. Olivia reported back on what an enjoyable and invaluable opportunity it was, which helped put the course content into perspective and supported its application in future careers.

The invitation to the conference was in addition to the scholarship Olivia receives from BMO to undertake the Metals and Energy Finance MSc (which is funded through their Equity in Education charitable initiative aimed at creating a more diverse workplace).
