Congratulations to Nicole and Henry, who both won prizes on the MRes in Drug Discovery Programme this year!

Congratulations to Nicole Deacon-Smith was awarded the Perkin Prize for best overall performance on the MRes in Drug Discovery and Development. During her research project, Nicole worked in the Tate Group on developing inhibitors for GTPase targets in cancer. She will be continuing research at Imperial College, joining the group of Professor Matt Fuchter for her PhD.  

At the MRes Symposium on 10th September, Nicole was also awarded second prize for her presentation during in session one whilst Henry Benns, who will be continuing his research in the groups of Dr Matt Child and Prof. Ed Tate during his PhD, was awarded first prize. 

Many congratulations also to the prize winners in session two, Basma Abdelkader and Joseph Akinoso, and to the thirteen MRes students associated with the Tate who presented their research at the symposium.
