Leslie Primo's will discuss Jan Gossaert's masterpiece 'The Adoration of the Kings' on BBC Radio 4 this week.

Leslie Primo, art history tutor on the CLCC Evening Class Programme, will be a guest on Radio 4’s Moving Pictures programme this week, where he will be exploring Jan Gossaert’s stunningly beautiful painting The Adoration of the Kings, with Cathy FitzGerald and her guests.

Originally commissioned as the altarpiece of the Lady Chapel of the Abbey of St Adrian's, Geraardsbergen, near Brussels, The Adoration of the Kings (1510-15) is a large oil-on-oak painting which can be seen in London's National Gallery

Leslie's episode will be broadcast on Tuesday 12 March at 11.30am, and repeated on Saturday 16 March at 3.30pm. After that it can be listened to via the Moving Pictures homepage or through BBC Sounds.

Moving Pictures is a BBC Radio 4 Series that offers listeners the chance to "take a long, slow look at great artworks", in great detail. The images themselves are available to view on the Moving Pictures website.
