Central Library improvement works

Redecoration and glazing works will take place at Central Library over the summer vacation.

Following the successful completion of the installation of cooling and ventilation systems at the Central Library in 2018, this summer will see the redecoration of level 1 and the entrance area. We will also be adding secondary glazing to the windows in Training Rooms 1 and 2 to reduce the noise levels in these rooms. 

There will be some minor disruption to level 1 while these works take place. 

The programme for painting is: 

• From Monday 1 July : Training Rooms 1 and 2 
• From Monday 8 July : outside the training rooms and the group study rooms 
• From Thursday 18 July : Wolfson Suite 
• From Friday 26 July : entrance and Welcome Desk / Information Hub 

Secondary glazing works will take place in August.
