On 2 December the SGI joined up with the Research Centre for Gas Innovation to deliver a Triple Helix series in Sustainable Development Goals.

On 2 December the SGI joined up with the Research Centre for Gas Innovation (RCGI) to deliver a successful and well-attended Triple Helix series in Sustainable Development Goals. The series looked at views from Brazil and the UK regarding challenges in energy transition and climate change. The event marked the launch of the 'Pathways of Sustainability' report by the RCGI team. 

The event included a talk from Dr Adam Hawkes, Director of the Sustainable Gas Institute as well as a talk from Karen Mascarenhas also of the SGI. 

The sessions included:

Modelling of energy transitions and climate mitigation considering Sustainable Development Goals (Dr Adam Hawkes, Imperial College London)

Leadership towards the Sustainable Development Goals (Karen Mascarenhas, Imperial College London/ University of Sao Paulo)

Urbansystems: how cities can endure climate change impacts (Professor Marcos Buckeridge, University of Sao Paulo)

Higher Education Institutions and SDGs (Dr Flavio Hourneaux Jr, University of Sao Paulo)

Development and diffusion of technology innovation for SDGs: overcoming challenges and exploiting opportunities (Dr Stelvia Matos, University of Surrey)
