Novel metal forming
New Science ▪ New Technology ▪ New Solution
Our group aims at discovering new science and understanding in metal forming processes including addictive manufacturing, sheet metal forming, cross wedge rolling, etc., widely applied in automotive, aerospace and high-speed trains. We are interested in developing new cost efficient metal forming techniques involving various metals such as Ti, Al, Mg and nickel alloys.
Professor Shihong Zhang from the Institute of Metal Research gave a talk on their research on Metal Forming at 23rd Aug 2019.
Dr Catalin Pruncu attended Seventh International Conference on Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Computation (SEMC 2019) in Cape Town, South Africa and gave a talk on Evaluation of the adhesive bonding of aluminum alloys produced by Hot Form Quenching for automotive applications.
