Collaborating for Quality (CQ)
Networking to exchange clinical and research insights and collaborating for improved quality of healthcare.
What is Collaborating for Quality?
Collaborating for Quality (CQ) is a series of interactive seminars organised by the NIHR Imperial Patient Safety Translational Research Centre (PSTRC) and the Quality Improvement Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHNT). Sessions bring together healthcare stakeholders to learn about and contribute to innovative quality improvement interventions.
What does CQ seek to achieve?
The CQ exchange seeks to advance research-informed innovation for improved patient safety. The series of sessions present a unique opportunity to become familiar with the pipeline of QI innovations under development at the PSTRC and ICHNT, including interventions that offer solutions to system-based care challenges.
For innovation leaders, the CQ provides a space to inform stakeholders of their latest QI interventions, which are either in development or in practice. Through interactive exercises, presenters are able to engage CQ attendees in a collaborative group activity to gain research, provider and user feedback and connections to further develop their interventions.
What are the sessions like?
Speakers have included researchers, consultants and quality improvement leaders (see recordings for examples). Individual sessions provide a dedicated presentation to one main intervention and an engaging group activity. At the end of the session, organisers invite attendees to continue the conversation over wine and nibbles.
Who is the audience?
The audience has included quality improvement (QI) leaders, healthcare managers, clinicians, patients, researchers and other health stakeholders.
