I am a Marie Sklodowska-Curie individual fellow in Prof. Milo Shaffers’s group (NanoHAC) since August 2019, where my primary research interest is on the development of multifunctional hierarchically-structured systems that can carry mechanical loads as well as store electrochemical energy, making possible the fabrication of light structural batteries and supercapacitors with high energy and power densities.
I received my B.Sc. in Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in 2011 and completed my M.Sc. in the field of Materials Science and Electrochemistry under the Erasmus Mundus Program (Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion, MESC) in 2013. I conducted my Ph.D. research in Materials Science & Technology at CIC energiGUNE & Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) with a short-term stay at Drexel University. From 2017 to 2019, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Chalmers University of Technology.
