Research Interests
Dr Ruiz-Teran's Research interest is focussed in the area of Bridge Engineering. She has almost twenty years of research and industrial experience and is responsible for the teaching and research activities in the field of Bridge Engineering at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She set up a research group on Bridge Engineering when she joined Imperial College London in 2010.
Her main areas of active research:
- Under-deck and combined cable-stayed bridges
-
Response of slender road bridges and footbridges under traffic loading
-
Spatial arch bridges
-
Innovative bridge types
