Summary

Structural Fire Engineering - CIVE70094

Aims

This module aims to introduce you to the fundamental concepts and principles of structural fire safety engineering. This multi-disciplinary specialisation represents a union of structural mechanics and heat transfer, and introduces you to the physics of fire growth and spread, the behaviour of structural materials at elevated temperatures, the thermomechanical response of structural members and assemblies, and computational finite element analysis.
