Anna Skordai is the Personal and Administrative Assistant for the Director (Alison Holmes) of National Institute of Health Research Health Protection Research Unit in Healthcare Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance.
Anna is acting as the first point of contact for Professor Holmes and is managing her busy diary. She is also providing comprehensive support for the organisation of travel, registration and accommodation for meeting attendance and conferences, both national and internationally.
Anna is providing administrative support to meetings, assisting with general secretarial duties, is liaising with external collaborators to develop agendas and programmes for visits and helps co-ordinating events supported or championed by Professor Holmes (ARC@Imperial annual conferences, launch of The Lancet Antimicrobials Series on access and sustainable effectiveness of antimicrobials, Nursing Summit on Antimicrobial Stewardship to name a few).
Anna has also been Interim Project Manager to EMBRACE, an EPSRC funded project aiming to bridge the gaps between Engineering, Natural and Physical Sciences and Medicine in Antimicrobial Research. She has organised a conference and a sandpit event for this project as well as helped with launching 3 new pump priming calls.
Anna Skordai has worked for Imperial College since November 2014. She joined the College after an extended period of working as a freelance event manager, overseeing and managing a variety of events, such as conferences, gala dinners, incentive groups etc.
Previously Anna has been a senior Logistics Manager at Media Tree Limited, managing financial roadshows and an Event Manager and Personal Assistant at Dunelm Public Relations Limited, a shipping PR company.
Anna has a Masters Degree in Public Relations from the University of Szeged, Hungary.
