Bora recieved his BA Hons in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at the University of Manchester. He subsequently came to Imperial for the MSc in Environmental Technologies (Global Environmental Change and Policy Option), where he was awared the AECOM Prize for outstanding overall performance, coming second in his year group.
Bora has recieved a Natural Environment Research Council studenship to undertake his doctoral studies at the Centre for Environmental Policy and take part in the Grantham Institute's Doctoral Training Partnership. His Ph.D. supervisors are Dr. Zen Makuch and Dr. Kaveh Madani.
Bora's research is focussed on regulation and innovation at the water-energy nexus. In particular, applying systems thinking and conflict resolution techniques for managing stakeholder interactions in water regulations.
Bora is also involved in the department outside of his research role, holding holding a seminar on Rules-Based Systems, supporting masters student supervision, and has facilitated a COP21 Label event in collaboration with ClimateKIC where students took part in a climate negotiations simulation.
