Summary
Christine is a postdoctoral research psychologist at the Centre for Mental Health. She coordinates the Healthy Start, Happy Start study, a large scale NIHR HTA funded randomised controlled trial investigating the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of an attachment-based intervention (Video-feedback Intervention to Promote Positive Parenting; VIPP) in the prevention of enduring behavioural problems in young children. Prior to this she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Geary Institute for Public Policy at University College Dublin on the Preparing for Life evaluation of a home visiting programme for families living in a socioeconomically disadvantaged community. She also contributed to the evaluation of Ready Steady Grow an area-based infant mental health strategy. She completed her PhD on children's experiences of transitions in early childhood care and education settings at the University College Dublin School of Psychology through a Department of Children and Youth Affairs PhD fellowship.
