I am a NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow in Public Health Medicine, currently based out of the Department of Primary Care and Social Medicine at the Charing Cross Campus.
I was awarded an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship in 2011 for the purposes of modelling factors that influence unplanned medical hospital admissions to hospitals in England. In addition to my NIHR funded work, I also have research interests in ambulatory care sensitive conditions, familial adenomatous polyposis and the use of routinely generated and pre-existing healthcare data could be utilised in Computerised Clinical Decision Support tools and to assess the efficacy of contemporaneous healthcare interventions. I am also involved in module design and delivery of teaching in the School of Public Health's Master of Public Health course.
My undergraduate training was at University College London, graduating BSc(Hons) with First Class Honours in 2001 and MB BS in 2005. I also hold a MPH, graduating with Distinction from Imperial College London in 2009, where I am currently studying for a PhD.
Prior to working at Imperial College, I have held academic posts in Medical Education and Emergency Medicine at Royal Free & University College Medical School and St George's Medical School respectively. Additionally, I have rotated through posts in Primary Care Trusts and the North East and North Central London Health Protection Unit as part of the London/KSS Public Health training scheme.
