Summary

Research Areas

My research is centred on the design of heterogeneous catalysts and reactors concepts devoted to sustainable technologies. It involves the study of challenging reactions of technological relevance with direct impact on society including  sorption-enhanced catalytic processes for hydrogen (H2) production, synthesis of methanol and higher alcohols from syngas, self-condensation catalytic reactions and production of sugars from bio-based feedstocks. In addition, carbon capture and sulphur removal are studied.

Main research components:

- Development of Novel Nanostructures for Green Catalytic Applications

- Design and Testing of Innovative Catalytic Systems

- Mathematical Modelling of Reaction Concepts
