Daniele Ravì received a Master Degree in Computer Science (summa cum laude) in 2007 from University of Catania. From 2008 to 2010 he worked at STMicroelectronics (Advanced System Technology Imaging Group) as a consultant. He received his Ph.D. at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Catania, Italy in 2014 after spending 1 year at the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing, University of Surrey, UK. He has been a research associate at the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery at Imperial College London since March 2014. He has contributed to several research projects funded by the EU as well as the industry and he is co-author of different papers including book chapters, international journals and international conference proceedings. He is also co-inventor of one patent. His interests lie in the fields of computer vision, image analysis, visual search, machine learning, smart sensing\embedded device and biomedical engineering.
