Summary
Gemma manages all internal and external communications for the Data Science Institute, one of Imperial's Global Grand Challenge Institutes.
She is responsible for planning, delivering, and improving digital communication services for the DSI including website content, social media channels, newsletters, digital publications, and any other content that promotes the work of the institute.
Her role also involves public engagement and outreach work including stakeholder management, planning and delivering outreach events alongside acting as Podcast Manager for the Science Actually Podcast.
Before joining the DSI, Gemma worked in various science communication roles, including a role as Communications Writer with Imperial's Department of Chemical Engineering.
She holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Exeter, and recently completed her MSc in Science Communication at Imperial's Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication.
