Heather is a second-year PhD student in the Urban Systems Lab and in the Centre for Transport Studies, at Imperial College London. She takes the role of teaching assistant in the MSc Transport programme as well. Her current research focuses on occupant-centric building design and operation, by employing data-driven modelling framework to achieve dynamic controls for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. Heather is also making her effort on converging transport modelling and building modelling. Her PhD research is funded by the CSC Imperial Scholarship.
She holds a BEng degree in Civil Engineering with First Class from the University of Nottingham, awarded in 2016. She also obtained her MSc degree in Transport with Distinction from Imperial College London & University College London in 2017. Heather worked at Nottingham Geospatial Institute during her undergraduate studies, where she involved in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) project.
