Ijeoma Uchegbu is the Health Economist at the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR)  Diagnostic Evidence Co-operative (DEC) London which is a partnership between Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College London. DEC-London is one of four national centres of expertise. 

Ijeoma also works at the Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) in Healthcare Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance. The HPRU is a partnership between Imperial College London, Public Health England, Cambridge University Veterinary School, the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and Imperial College Health Partners North West London Academic Health Science Network and is also funded by the NIHR.

Ijeoma's background is in Pharmacy which she practised mainly in secondary care but also in primary care as well as having worked in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society as a Professional Support Pharmacist.
