Summary
I am Imperial’s Digital Content and Social Media Manager. I joined the Digital and Creative Media team in November 2015.
I manage Imperial's top-level social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat and Weibo. I work with teams around the College to plan, publish and measure social media content and campaigns. I also assist with digital content and video projects around the institution, and I work closely with the website development team, feeding in to their work from the editorial side. Topics I can advise on include social media management, video production, social/web analytics, writing for the web, content design, search engine optimisation and user testing.
I also manage the Cross-College Social Media Group. If you manage or contribute to a social media account at the College, please contact me to join our email list and Slack community. Through the Group you can meet other social media managers across the College and get support with your social media projects.
Previously, I worked at Imperial War Museums (IWM), where I managed the museum’s social media channels and produced content for the website, social channels and a variety of digital projects. If you ever wanted to know more about the Imperial Camel Corps in WW1, I can help.
Before IWM, I worked in the publishing industry, both in London and the US. I have several years’ experience as a proofreader/copyeditor, and I am also trained in agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
