Summary
John Hassard is Reader in Physics with particular interest in heavy quark decays. He is involved in the D0 experiment in Fermilab (www.fnal.gov).
He has interests in energy issues, and has worked on policy and technologies of nuclear power and the proliferation of nuclear weapons.
Hassard founded the tidal power company HydroVenturi Ltd (www.hydroventuri.com) and is non-executive Chairman.
He also has interest in applications of particle physics in biotechnology: see www.deltadot.com
Hassard is interested in environmental matters and has developed an advanced air pollution analysis system: see www.gusto-systems.com for details.
