Summary

My work around at the college is primarily on the development of new risk prediction scores for patients undergoing emergency laparotomy, using a large database of patients from the UK

In addition I have a strong interest in modelling the pharmacokinetics of propofol for use in target controlled infusions for patients undergoing anaesthesia, focusing on the use of existing datasets and the use of evolutionary algorithms to develop novel models using open source tools i have developed.

Most recently i have been part of an engineering team in the department of bioengineering developing a ventilator as part of the colleges efforts against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
