I am an epidemiologist and mathematical modeller working to understand the interaction between insecticide resistance in mosquitoes and malaria prevalence. I'm interested in how the dynamics of infectious disease can change over time: past work has investigated how medical interventions drove the global spread of the Hepatitis C Virus, how compensatory mutations can assist in the development of antibacterial resistance, and how to discover novel viruses and virus recombinants.
