Summary

Dr Ke Han joined Imperial College London in 2013 as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor). He received his PhD degree in Mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University in 2013, and Bachelor degree in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2008.

Dr Ke Han's research interests include transportation network modeling, traffic control and management, sustainable transportation, air transportation, and big-data analytics. He has published over 80 papers in leading journals and conferences, and the book "Models for Vehicular Traffic on Networks" (AIMS). He is on the editorial boards of Transportation Research Part BTransportation Research Part C, and International Journal of Transportation. He is also a guest editor for the special issue "Advances in Modeling, Simulation and Optimization of Dynamic Network Traffic" in Transportation Research Part C. He is among the five Chan Wui & Yunyin Rising Star Fellows selected globally by Transportation Research Board.

Dr Han is Chief Scientist and Chair of the Academic Committee of Cloud-Guizhou Big Data Application & Innovation Research Center. He is currently a Visiting Professor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He serves as the President of COTA-Europe  (Chinese Overseas Transportation Association, European Chapter), and committee members of various international conferences including IEEE ITSC, TRISTAN, and EWGT. Within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College, Ke is undertaking the roles of Transport Msc Admission Officer and E-learning Coordinator.
