Summary
Dr Ke Han is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at Center for Transport Studies, Imperial College London. He received his PhD degree in Mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University in 2013, and Bachelor degree in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2008.
Ke's research interests include transportation network modeling, traffic control and management, sustainable transportation, air transportation, and big-data analytics. He has published one book "Models for Vehicular Traffic on Networks" and over 100 journal and conference papers, which have been cited over 900 times (h-index 18) according to Google Scholar. He is a member of Editorial Advisory Boards of Transportation Research Part B, Transportation Research Part C, and International Journal of Transportation, and an Area Editor of Networks and Spatial Economics. He was named Chan Wui & Yunyin Rising Star Fellow by the U.S. National Academy of Science's Transportation Research Board in 2016.
Ke holds a number of positions in academic and professional bodies, including Chief Scientist and Chair of the Academic Committee of Cloud-Guizhou Big Data Science & Application Research Center, Visiting Professor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Scientific Advisor of Beijing Tsinghua Tongheng Urban Planning & Design Institute, President of Chinese Overseas Transportation Association, European Chapter, Member of TRB Standing Committee on Airfield and Airspace Capacity and Delay (AV060), and committee members of various international conferences (IEEE ITSC, TRISTAN, EWGT, ICORES, CICTP). Within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College, Ke is undertaking the roles of Transport MSc Admission Officer, E-learning Coordinator, and CivSoc Liaison Officer for the Transport Cluster.
