Katrin Tinn is an Assistant Professor in Finance. Here is her recent CV.
Her research focuses on applied theory in financial economics and information economics. Her particular research interests include interaction between financial markets and technological innovation, financing innovation, economic growth, Fintech, and quantitative trading. She also works on frictions in global trade and political elections.
Her research has been published in the American Economic Review, the top peer-reviewed journal in Economics.
Prior joining the Imperial College Business School, she held academic positions in Economics at Stockholm School of Economics and University of Essex. She has worked for international organizations such as IMF, ECB and EBRD, and in private sector (asset management and banking).
Katrin holds a BSc in Economics from Tallinn Technical University, a BA in Art from Estonian Academy of Art, a MSc in Economics from University College London and a PhD in Economics from London School of Economics.
