Summary

Karl is currently Head of Special Projects, leading operational and strategic projects to ensure Divisional business objectives are met. This is a key senior management role where he instigates original ideas, collaborates to test innovative changes and delivers challenging, complex projects across all areas of service delivery whilst working closely with other College teams to achieve effective outcomes.

In his role, Karl works closely with various College Boards and governance structures providing strategic input and review into Provost Board, President's Executive Group, and Project Review & Investment Board to ensure opportunities are grasped and continue to be maximised for the benefit of the College community and in contribution to the College’s academic and financial strategy.

Prior to joining Campus Services, Karl was Senior Administration Manager for the Partnership for Child Development (PCD) managing operations within the London office and further afield across in-country offices throughout sub-Saharan Africa. He also represented PCD with colleagues at the World Bank and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Karl studied law at Lancaster University and has held policy positions in both Defra and the Welsh Assembly Government.  Leading a team for the national environmental charity, London Community Resource Network, for three years he strengthened his skills and understanding in developing complex programmes.
