Summary
Kathy Lewis is the Section Manager for the Musculoskeletal Surgery and Centre for Engagement and Simulation Science within the Department of Surgery and Cancer. She is responsible for oversight, planning and organisation of the Division of Surgery’s research presence.
Kathy acts as the first point of contact for matters relating to grant application and management, human resources, and finances for both Sections she manages.
Kathy is the operational lead on various projects for the PI’s in the Sections she manages by helping to secure advancement gift funding and other research funds, planning and maintaining the budget, and implementing the funding where it is needed to support the Sections, Division and Department.
In addition, Kathy Line Manages the Musculoskeletal Lab Administration Team in order to provide support to the Sections and Divisions.
Kathy has been Section Manager across multiple Sections in the Division of Surgery since 2019. She was acting Divisional Manager for Surgery and Cancer's Division of Cancer and APMIC on a secondment in 2021. She worked in Administration and Course Management for Imperial College London within the MSk Lab from 2011 to 2019.
