Martin is Programme Director for Imperial GP Specialty Training and a GP Partner and Trainer in a practice in Clapham.

Martin joined the department in 2011 and had a key role in the set-up of Imperial GP Specialty Training.. This 3 Year Postgraduate GP Training Scheme is the first in London to be based within an Academic Department of Primary Care and has been a pioneer in strengthening the links between Academic Primary Care and GP Training.

Martin has been a Partner at a GP Clapham Park Group Practice since 2004, where he has taught Medical Students, Foundation Doctors and GP Trainees. He is currently a Trainer on the Imperial Scheme.

In 2014 Martin was elected a director of the South West Lambeth GP Federation and within this role he chairs the Lambeth Community Education Provider Network.

Martin is the co-author of two textbooks, How to Pass the CSA exam and GP Cases at a Glance.
