Summary

Overview

The primary focus of her research is traslational research in gynaecological diseases and cancers, in particular cervical, endometrial and ovarian cancer with an emphasis on prevention and personalised treatment.

She has an interest in cervical pre-invasive and invasive disease, primary cervical screening and HPV vaccines. She has led research into the impact of treatment for cervical pre-invasive and early invasive cervical disease on reproductive outcomes and the clinical use of HPV biomarkers in personalising the management of women with abnormal findings at primary population-based screening.

She runs a research group investigating the impact of obesity and metabolic disorders in the development of gynaecological cancers with an emphasis on endometrial cancer.

She further investigates the role of the genital tract and gut microbiome and host interactions in the development and treatment response of gynaecological cancers.
