Mano Jacob is responsible, for library service provision to the Chemical Engineering department and to the Department of Bioengineering.
She works two and a half days a week. She is responsible for ensuring that the library meets the information needs of the two departments. Ensuring that the book collections , and the journal collections relevant to both departments match departmental requirements is part of her role. She is also responsible for the delivery of Information Management courses to undergraduates and MSc students, and individually tailored Information Management sessions for research post-graduates and staff.

She also has an interest in e book provision models and accessibility issues surrounding e books.
Mano is a member of the Higher Education Academy and an Affiliate Member of the American Chemical Society. She has worked for Imperial College libraries since 1990 and in her role as Assistant Librarian Electronic Information Services from 1992 to 2002 she was also very involved with the move from the print to the electronic medium for journals and reference books and in the selection of new resources.
