Summary
The Hamlyn Centre plays an active role in international collaboration and outreach activities, as well as in the training of surgeons and engineers in robotic technologies, thereby facilitating a fully integrated clinical approach. It has extensive research and engineering laboratory spaces at Imperial’s South Kensington campus; pre-clinical facilities with state-of-the-art imaging and surgical equipment for in-vivo validation; and comprehensive clinical laboratories at the Surgical Innovation Centre at St Mary’s Hospital.
I oversee the effective management and development of the underpinning operational framework, as well as provide high-level support for the broader strategic remit of the Centre. I am responsible for building effective organisation and collaborative networks as well as establishing and managing institutional governance structures and working with high profile funders.
