Summary
Pelin Demirel is a Senior Lecturer in Innovation and Enterprise at the Dyson School of Design Engineering, Imperial College London.
Pelin’s research and teaching focus on innovation and entrepreneurship with a particular emphasis on sustainability. Investigating the potential of innovations and entrepreneurship for a more sustainable and inclusive society motivates her most recent research projects. She is one of the Future Leaders at The Foundation for Science and Technology (2021 cohort) and her research is funded by various bodies including Leverhulme Trust, ESRC, EPSRC, MRC and British Academy. Pelin is currently a guest editor of the British Journal of Management's Special issue Unpacking Circular Economy Capabilities for a Pathway to Net Zero (accepting submissions until 10 January 2024) and Eurasian Business Review's Special Issue Innovation for the Green Transition (accepting submissions until 29 February 2024).
Pelin is Imperial College's academic lead for London Interdisciplinary Social Science (LISS) Doctoral Training Partnership Research Area 2: Business Analytics, Management and Applied Economics She is also the Senior Tutor for PhD students at Dyson School of Design Engineering.
