Panos is a PhD candidate in the Thermofluids division working under the supervision of Dr Stelios Rigopoulos and Prof. Bill Jones. His research is focused on chemical kinetics and methods for chemistry reduction in turbulent reacting flows with special application to surrogate aviation fuels and other fuels.
He has received a sponsorship from the EU Clean Sky and is member of the project "Dreamcode".
He holds an MEng Diploma from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics of University of Patras in Greece (2013), where he specialised in aeronautics with a Diploma thesis on aeroacoustics (modelling of noise from aircrafts). He also worked as research associate on development of computational models for noise evaluation.
