Summary
The Nixon group is studying various aspects of solar energy conversion by chloroplasts and cyanobacteria. Projects include:
1. Enhancing the light reactions of photosynthesis
2. The assembly and repair of photosystem II and the biogenesis of the thylakoid membrane
3. Cyanobacterial and chloroplast synthetic biology
