RESEARCH INTERESTS
His team focuses on microbial genomics and open quantum mechanism for the environment and human health. Some areas of special interest include:
- Electron/Proton tunnelling and hopping through epigenomic regulation for material-induced direct interspecies electron transfer and oxygen detoxification/reduction.
- Applications of Marcus theory, multi-meta'omics, and quantum computing (i.e., Open Quantum System, Quantum Information Theory, Variational Quantum Eigensolver) in environmental biotechnologies.
- Carbon and nitrogen transformation in fermentation, nanaerobic respiration, Anammox, and digestion.
