Ryan Callahan is a Policy Fellow in the Centre for Health Policy at the Institute for Global Health Innovation, Imperial College London.
The Centre for Health Policy promotes innovative evidence-based policies among decision-makers worldwide, and undertakes a broad range of work from original academic research to developing practical applied solutions for health challenges for policymakers. The Director of the Centre for Health Policy is Professor the Lord Ara Darzi.
Ryan is the Director of the Peter Sowerby Foundation Forum, an interdisciplinary research programme developing new methods and use cases for patients, providers, and policymakers to use data to improve care. In support of the Sowerby Forum and other Centre projects, he also manages the Centre's Big Data and Analytical Unit.
Ryan formerly worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey and Company in their London and Chicago offices, where he led an international collaboration of health systems to improve population-level cancer outcomes. He has also worked in West Africa as a hospital consultant and Washington, DC in monitoring and evaluation of public health programmes.
