Summary

Overview

I am a PhD student under the supervision of Prof James Durrant and Prof Ji-Seon Kim at Imperial College's Centre for Plastic Electronics. My research is focused on gaining a better understanding of charge carrier kinetics in organic and perovskite solar cells, mainly through optoelectronic techniques such as the Transient Photovoltage and Differential Charging Technique.

Current projects include different perovskite compositions, aging conditions and interlayers and their influence on the charge carrier kinetics. On the organic photovoltaics side of things, the influence of aging and morphology differences resulting from different deposition techniques are the main focus.

Education

show research

I graduated from Carl-Zeiss-Gymnasium Jena (Highschool) back in Germany before heading to Glasgow for my MSci Chemical Physics. The placement year of my degree was spent at Merck Chemicals in Southampton developing formulations of organic photovoltaics blends and screening new donor and acceptor materials.
