I am a PhD student working with Gunnar Pruessner. My research combines two fields of study which are quite distinct from each other. On the theoretical side, statistical field-theory/renormalisation group is applied to the study of
reaction-diffusion processes. Reaction-diffusion processes can model various complex multibodied natural systems (chemical systems, bacterial system, cellular systems, population models). On the experimental side I work on signal processing methods for extracting information from microscopy data (3D time imagery). The data are time-lapse observations of cancer cells or cells in growing arabidopsis roots.
