Sacha gained her PhD 2020 after working in the Durrant group examining the kinetics of metal oxides for solar energy conversion reactions. In particular, her research has focused on tungsten oxide photoanodes and nickel-based electrocatalysts for water oxidation.

Her research is now split between the Chemistry Department and The Grantham Institute for Climate Change and is focused on analysing advances in the field of solar fuels and communicating these to higher level audiences.
