As Digital Communications Officer (mat cover) at the Grantham Institute - Climate Change and Environment, I work as part of a small team to translate and communicate academic research about climate change and the environment.
In my role I manage the institute's online presence and digital communications, supporting the Grantham Institute by helping to connect them with a broad range of stakeholders.
I help to develop and implement communications plans, support events and outreach activities, and produce new digital content, including blogs, video (using Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects), news stories, animations, social media assets and website content.
I regularly report on digital activity and online engagement and use the data gathered to inform future campaigns.
I support and advise staff and students on a variety of projects, including web design, blogs, and podcasts, helping to arrange funding and further training where necessary.
Before joining Imperial I worked as a Digital Content Officer at the University of Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum and before that as Marketing Content Executive at the Leadership Trust, a leadership development company.
I have a BSc (Hons) in Biology and an MSc in Biological Photography and Imaging from the University of Nottingham and am an associate member of the Royal Society of Biology and a graduate imaging scientist and associate member of the Royal Photographic Society.
