Scarlett completed a BSc in Biological sciences at the University of Warwick in 2012, followed by an MSc in Immunology of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2013. In 2014 Scarlett joined the Centre for Immunology and Vaccinology at Imperial College London as a PhD student under the supervision of Dr Peter Kelleher, where she studied antibody responses in early HIV infection through the use of a variety of techniques including flow cytometry, single cell sorting, molecular cloning and functional assays. Since completing the PhD in 2018, she has worked collaboratively between the Royal Brompton Hospital and Centre for Immunology and Vaccinology on a project examining immune responses in individuals prone to respiratory infections.
