Tanawan is a PhD candidate (EPSRC iCase Award and Laing O'Rourke) with Imperial College London’s "Dyson School of Design Engineering" and "Center for Systems Engineering and Innovation". His research focuses on developing a systems engineering framework for mass-customisation in construction through product planning of modular building systems. This research is in collaboration with Laing O’Rourke.

Tanawan has a multidisciplinary background with strong experiences in mechatronics, robotics, sensory technology, automation, manufacturing systemssystems engineering, and economics (FDI).

Prior to joining Imperial College, Tanawan obtained his BEng (Hons) in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Lancaster and his MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering Science / Mechatronics from the University of Southampton

Research interests: Systems engineering, technology strategy, data science, product management, risk management, and smart cities.
