Shock Waves

This is the prime area of interest to me. High, transient pressures and their effect on materials.

blast waves

show research

The interaction of blast waves with materials and structures tends to occur on timesclaes much longer than shocxk waves but cna be more devstating as a result. A major interest is to ensure materials subjected to blast waves have the transient stresses and strains measured accurately.
