Expertise and experience of the participating organisation

Research Centre for Quantum Information of the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences has its unique position in Slovak academic life. It is the first topical centre focused on FET in Slovakia. The main expertise of the Centre is in theoretical description of various aspects of quantum information processing. The Centre has strong international links with many visiting scientists and students. Recent achievements of the members of the Centre are: description of universal quantum machines (cloners, entanglers, U-NOT gates), efficient algorithms for quantum state estimation from incomplete experimental data. Proposal of new cryptographic protocols (e.g. quantum secret sharing).
